The stunning actress - who is currently pregnant with her second child - says her beauty routine is very simple but it has always worked for her.

She told StyleList.com: "My mother always told me to wash my face every night, wear sunscreen during the day and drink plenty of water. It's simple but I like to think that it works for me.

"I like sunscreen that's not too heavy so I use my daughter's California Baby."

Another family trick Jessica swears by is to use her lipstick on her cheeks, saying: "Before there was cream blush, my grandmother would apply lipstick on her lips, cheeks and eyes. I still do that today."

Jessica has previously revealed her mother used to practice her make-up applying skills on her because she was training to be a beautician.

Jessica said: "She was going to cosmetology school and she needed a model to practice on! It was for the swim team picture - full on winged eyeliner, the works."

The 30-year-old beauty has also admitted she can put her look together in five minutes after learning to adjust her regime since becoming a mother three years ago.

She said: "My beauty regime has changed so much since becoming a mother.

"I've learnt to multitask and throw my look together in five minutes. I love make-up that I can apply with my finger tips, as it saves time."

On Sunday, Jessica Alba and husband, Cash Warren, took advantage of the beautiful weather and brought daughter, Honor Marie, to grab a bite to eat. After filling their appetites, the healthy brood headed over to Whole Foods in Brentwood, Calif. to stock up on some supplies. She's looked stylish and radiant throughout her latest pregnancy - and Hollywood mother-to-be Jessica Alba kept up the good work on a night out with her husband Cash Warren.

The 30-year-old actress - who is due to give birth to her second daughter later this summer - covered her growing bump in a delicate strapless blue dress as she and Cash attended a party at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills.

And not one to give up her high heels during pregnancy, she teamed it with a pair of gold platforms - finishing off her evening look with a white pashmina.

And not only was she stylishly dressed but the Fantastic Four star looked healthy and glowing - suggesting that the pregnancy is agreeing with her.

The couple, who have a three-year-old daughter Honor, recently revealed they were expecting another girl - after Honor gave away that she would be getting a sister.

The little girl spilled the beans on the sex of the baby, as she and Jessica were leaving the Burger Kitchen in Los Angeles last week.

Although Jessica did her best to ignore the crowd of assembled paparazzi outside, Honor told the snap happy photographers that her mum and dad are planning to name the little girl Eva.

And despite taking a break from her career in preparation for her new daughter, Jessica will soon return to our screens in Spy Kids 4.

Having shot the film back in October, the production is set for an August release.

Get a whiff of this-director Robert Rodriguez nose knows everyone is going to think his upcoming new Spy Kids flick stinks.

And he wants it that way.

Why? Because...

He hopes to take audiences to the fourth dimension with the ability to smell Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. A ticket to the latest installment of the hit franchise (in theaters Aug. 19) comes with an Aromascope card. As a number flashes on the screen, moviegoers will rub the corresponding number on the card and-voila !-the scent is released.

"Now that everybody is doing 3-D, I was like, 'We gotta do something else. I want to go the fourth dimension,'" Rodriguez told me earlier today.

He thought back to the time he saw the "Odorama" version of John Waters' Polyester in 1982. "It was the older technology of Scratch and Sniff where everything smelled the same by the third sniff," Rodriguez said. "But it's changed a lot. The new technology is amazing. Smells don't mix together. I was happy and relieved to find that great minds have actually been working on it."

Rodriguez promises Spy Kids (starring folks like Jessica Alba, Jeremy Piven and E!'s own Joel McHale) will offer a wide range of scents. "When we asked kids about it, they said, 'You gotta do something really gross,'" Rodriguez said, laughing. "We do have a Spy Dog and a Spy Baby, so you could kind of figure out where it can go."

In other words, expect Spy Kids 4 to be a real gas.

The 30-year-old actress and her three-year-old daughter hit Bel Bambini in West Hollywood to collect some luxury baby items.

Jessica's growing baby bump is becoming clearer each week, which she covered yesterday in a loose white T-shirt and pink scarf.

She teamed up her outfit with grey skinny jeans and oversized sunglasses, while her daughter looked adorable in cut off denim shorts.

Honor strolled around in purple flip flops and a frilled white summer top as she accompanied her mother on their day out.

Bel Bambini, which is Italian for beautiful babies, is a high-end baby boutique that caters to infants, toddlers and maternity wear.

And the Sin City actress left the store with two full bags that appeared to be gift boxes.
